This vet is extremely expensive and always upsell you on unnecessary items and procedures. Every time we visited they tried to sell us on having my dog's teeth cleaned which requires the dog to be anesthetized and is incredibly expensive. My dogs teeth are fine as we brush them and give her dental treats as well. This place is just like big Chiropractic business that scams people into paying for things they don't need. I tried getting a refill on my dogs meds and they refused to do it trying to say it's required by law to have visit each year when the law only states they must have a patient relationship which we had had and it had only been 12 months and a couple weeks after my dogs last visit. They charge for every little thing and will nickel and dime you. I had a routine visit last year for a little 10 pound dog and it was over $600 dollars. Beware this vet practice, save your money and find a place that cares more about your bet and less about making money off their customers.

**★☆☆☆☆ (1/5 Stars)** We moved from Colorado to Missouri and needed a new primary vet for our dog, Denver. We brought him in to establish care and to address a brand-new, acute issue: severe back pain. The care from Dr. Madison was completely inadequate. She admitted she was unfamiliar with Denver’s common medications and potential drug interactions, offering nothing but a ketamine shot. Despite my explicit requests, she failed to perform basic primary care diagnostics like spinal palpations or X-rays. Because of this, Denver suffered needlessly for weeks. A second opinion clinic easily diagnosed an Iliopsoas tear within 30 minutes, and an urgent referral to MU ultimately revealed discospondylitis and severe spine degradation. When I demanded a refund and asked that senior staff mentor Dr. Madison—who is only two years out of school—management's response was highly defensive. They tried to deflect blame by bringing up a voicemail they left about his pre-existing respiratory issue (CIRD). This misses the point entirely: Denver was there for a *new* back issue, and Dr. Madison should have recognized her limitations and referred us to orthopedics or neurology. To clarify their deflection, when I first called to make the appointment, the clinic had recommended a specific Missouri specialist for his CIRD. I told them then that I did not want to use that clinic because their Google reviews were only a 3.5, with numerous complaints regarding communication issues, misdiagnoses, and a lack of attentiveness. Because Trailside offered no other suggestions, we had already decided to just keep his respiratory care with his trusted specialist in Colorado. While they offered to issue a refund for the exam, management completely ignored the request to mentor their junior doctor. Instead, they closed our account and barred our pets from returning. This "ban" is a joke, as I would never trust this facility with my pets again anyway. Avoid this clinic if you expect baseline competence.
